Job Description

Job Summary: Asphalt laborer assist in the laying, smoothing, and setting of the asphalt. Laborer will also look after the mat which includes raking, sweeping, lining out the road, and working alongside the paver and screed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs varies duties to include, but not limited to: shoveling, raking, luting, sweeping, and cleaning area in front of paver.
• Loading and unloading of materials.
• Assist screed operator as needed.
• Performs all functions in a safe manner in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• General clean-up of job site area
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to do manual labor.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; communicate with supervisors.
• Previous paving experience is preferred, but not necessary.
