Job Description



AECOM Hunt is seeking a creative and technically-driven Digital Technology Visualization Intern to to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona and contribute to the development of cutting-edge visualization and interactive applications.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025.

The intern will work with Unreal Engine and video game technologies to create immersive 3D models, visualizations, and interactive environments for construction projects. This is a unique opportunity to apply game development techniques in the context of the construction industry, collaborating with a dynamic team to push the boundaries of how we visualize and interact with construction data.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Game Design, or similar discipline, and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship

Qualifications

:

  • Previous relevant internship experience.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, including creating 3D models, environments, and interactive elements
  • Knowledge of game development workflows, including asset integration, level design, and user interface creation
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling and animation principles
  • Basic programming skills, especially with Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering, lighting, and optimization techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly
  • Interest in construction or architecture is a plus, but not required
