Instructor (Regular Non-Tenure Track) Biology Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Southeast Missouri State University (Southeast) is looking for enthusiastic academicians able to develop and maintain academic quality verified by measured student learning. Candidates should be versed in implementing innovative methods of course delivery, appropriate applications of technology, and progressive pedagogical methodologies.
Primary Responsibilities: The core teaching responsibilities for this position include anatomy & physiology lectures and labs, as well as non-major courses in general biology, microbiology, human biology and other courses as needed by the department. Undergraduate advising of biology majors is also expected. The person hired will participate in service activities including active participation in recruitment and retention activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biology or a related field by August 1, 2026. Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university.
- Experience teaching at college/university level as a graduate assistant, instructor, or above
- Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
