Job Description

Scope of Work: 

We are seeking a highly motivated IT System Administrator with experience, within federal IT cloud modernization projects, specifically on AWS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of IT systems, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies, security, and automation.  

Position Responsibilities: 

• This will be a remote role
• Maintain, upgrade, and manage software, hardware, and networks to ensure optimal performance. 
• Support cloud-based infrastructure, specifically AWS, for modernization efforts in a federal IT environment. 
• Administer Drupal CMS platforms, including updates, security patches, and performance optimization. 
• Implement system security policies and ensure compliance with federal IT security standards. 
• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions. 
• Manage system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and data integrity strategies. 
• Automate repetitive tasks and optimize system performance using scripting tools. 
• Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and provide technical recommendations for improvements. 
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal use 

Qualifications: 

• 6+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2+ years supporting federal IT cloud modernization projects on AWS. 
• Experience managing Drupal CMS platforms, including troubleshooting and performance tuning (preferred).. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment. 
• Strong communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
