Job Description:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in being the first point of contact that will engage with patients as they enter the establishment. You will be responsible for greeting patients, collecting insurance information, entering insurance information into a medical records system (knowledge of insurance companies and explanations of benefits would be ideal but not required), updating demographics, guiding patients to the appropriate appointment area, and collecting payments for services. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic health record systems, insurance payers, and most importantly strong customer service skills!

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients.
• Enter patient demographics and personal information into the electronic health record system.
• Collect insurance information, and enter accurately into the electronic health record system.
• Prepare out of pocket expenses explanation, and explain coverage of benefits to a patient.
• Must be proactive to reach out to insurance companies and ask for assistance.
• Guide patients to the appropriate exam rooms.
• Create a positive, welcoming, and friendly working environment.

Requirements:

• Stability in work experience.
• Friendly, bubbly personality.
• Experience with electronic health records systems.
