Responsibilities:

• Review medical records and accurately enter required data into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Route abstracted charts to appropriate departments or personnel.
• Identify and resolve overlapping or conflicting information within records.
• Communicate data collection issues to relevant team members or supervisors.
• Exercise independent judgment when interpreting documentation.
• Adhere to mandatory reporting protocols for incidents affecting patient care.
• Respond to inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
• Collaborate with Health Information Management staff to ensure timely chart processing.
• Understand and interpret physician terminology and clinical documentation; assist with scanning tasks as needed.

Schedule: This position will work Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM.
