QualDerm Partners is currently seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to join our exceptional team. As a PRN Medical Assistant, you will provide flexible support to our healthcare team, ensuring that patient care remains our top priority. Your role will include assisting physicians during examinations, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining a warm and welcoming environment for our patients. Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with the management of labs and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications effectively.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
  • Ensure examination and treatment rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and knowledge of dermatological procedures is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy clinical setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Comfortable working with electronic health records (EHR) and basic Office software.
