Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II and in collaboration with the Staff Services Manager III, the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) serves as a Project Manager responsible for leading CalHR’s most complex and sensitive internal and external process improvement projects. The incumbent functions as a highly skilled, independent consultant and project leader, coordinating cross-functional teams and initiatives using Lean, project management, and change management methodologies. The incumbent will work collaboratively with CalHR divisions and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement action plans, track key milestones and deliverables, and measure program effectiveness. This position plays a critical role in aligning process improvement efforts with CalHR’s strategic goals and ensuring consistent application of best practices across the department.
