What You’ll Do:

As a Security Analyst you will be a key contributor to the organization's cybersecurity efforts, taking on a more advanced and specialized role. Reporting to senior security management, your responsibilities will encompass a range of technical and strategic tasks aimed at enhancing the overall security posture.

• Lead and participate in the investigation, analysis, and response to security incidents, applying advanced forensics techniques to identify the root cause and mitigate future risks.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure architectures for systems, networks, and applications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Manage and execute vulnerability assessments, collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities, and stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct and oversee penetration testing and security assessments to identify weaknesses in systems and applications and recommend remediation measures.
• Implement and manage advanced identity and access management controls, including role-based access control (RBAC) and privileged access management (PAM).
• Develop and deliver advanced security training programs for employees, promoting a culture of security awareness and compliance.
• Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline security processes, enhance incident response times, and improve overall efficiency.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain security metrics to measure the effectiveness of security controls and communicate key performance indicators to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior security team members

Security Analyst Education, Experience and Skills

This role requires a seasoned professional with a solid understanding of information security principles, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to implement and manage advanced security controls in a dynamic and evolving environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Several years of experience in information security roles.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies, protocols, and frameworks.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are often preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Competitive Salary: $50,000-$75,000 per year (offer based on experience)
• Typical Schedule is M-F 8am-5pm.
• Due to the client need for a flexible schedule, field technicians may be required to come in early and/or stay late. The department manager will give as much notice as possible in these circumstances, but flexibility is key in our team and often we are given very short notice in client emergency situations
• On-site office environment with hybrid work from home options after 90 days
