Are you a seasoned Business Analyst with a passion for improving outcomes through technology? We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support multiple projects in a hybrid work environment. This role is essential in bridging the gap between stakeholders and software development teams, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, documented, and executed efficiently.

Location: Hybrid Austin, TX (80% Remote, Onsite as Needed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, ensuring clarity and completeness
  • Define system requirements, user stories, and use cases that align with business objectives
  • Lead process re-engineering initiatives to improve software workflows and efficiency
  • Collaborate with UX designers to create wireframes and mockups following industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and business analysis best practices
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution
    Contribute to post-implementation enhancements and system optimization efforts

Skills &Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in eliciting business requirements and creating well-documented system specifications
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Expertise in business process re-engineering and software workflow improvement
  • Ability to develop detailed user stories, use cases, and wireframes
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, writing, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Modern Requirements for requirements management
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for issue tracking
  • Previous experience working with state or local education agencies
  • Knowledge of Texas education applications such as FSP, TSDS, and TEA Help Desk
