Job Title: SharePoint Admin/Architect Consultant

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6 months (Contract)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• SharePoint Design & Configuration: Lead the design, setup, and configuration of SharePoint environments, ensuring that it meets the needs of business stakeholders while maintaining security and compliance standards.
• Content Migration: Oversee the migration of existing content from legacy systems to SharePoint, ensuring a smooth, error-free transition with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Permissions Management: Manage and configure SharePoint permissions, ensuring users have appropriate access based on roles and requirements while maintaining a high level of security.
• Compliance & Governance: Implement and enforce SharePoint governance strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Training & Guidance: Develop and deliver training programs for end users to ensure effective use of the new SharePoint intranet system. Provide ongoing support and guidance for staff to optimize their use of SharePoint.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and project management, to understand business requirements and align SharePoint capabilities accordingly.
• Project Management: Lead SharePoint-related projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting SharePoint-related issues and provide resolution in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

• SharePoint Expertise: Extensive experience in SharePoint administration and architecture, including both on-premises and SharePoint Online/Office 365 environments.
• Migration Experience: Proven experience in managing content migration projects, ensuring data integrity and seamless transitions.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure that SharePoint solutions meet organizational needs.
• Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills with experience leading SharePoint-related projects.
• Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of SharePoint compliance and governance best practices, including data retention, permissions, and auditing.

Desired Skills:

• SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Apps
• Experience with SharePoint migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix)
• Experience in SharePoint Online site architecture
• Knowledge of SharePoint workflows and integrations with other Microsoft 365 apps
• Ability to deliver training materials and create user documentation
