Are you passionate about supporting students and helping them succeed? Join us as a Teacher Assistant (Student Advisor) in a remote, part-time position! As the primary point of contact for students enrolled in a virtual learning program, you'll be a key resource for students and their families, ensuring they understand the program and navigate the system effectively.
What You'll Do:
Be the primary contact for students and their families, assisting with program navigation and support.
Manage a student caseload, monitoring progress and providing academic support as needed.
Offer one-on-one or small-group academic assistance to students.
Assist with translation projects as assigned to support students in their preferred language.
Position Details:
Location: Remote (Work from Home)
Schedule: Part-Time (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
Duration: Through the 2024-2025 school year (working on student days)
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Grade Levels Supported: K-12th grade students
Language Requirements: Bilingual applicants (Spanish required; Russian or Chinese preferred)
Requirements:
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in web-based programs and apps.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both oral and written).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
Flexibility to adapt to changes in systems, processes, and student needs, with guidance from supervisors.
Bilingual in Spanish (Russian or Chinese language skills are a plus).
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required.
Prior experience as an instructional assistant or teacher is preferred.
Experience troubleshooting technology-related issues is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Credentials:
Clearances: PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151), PA Criminal Clearance (Act 34), FBI Clearance (use code 1KG6XN), TB Screening (current within 3 months).
Education Documentation: A diploma or official transcripts from a graduate program.
