This position reports to

R&D Team Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Collaborate with the manager or engineer to perform engineering tasks of moderate complexity across various engineering functions.
• Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to quality standards and schedules, and maintain comprehensive logs and records.
• Utilize software tools to perform engineering operations, conduct analyses, and generate related data.
• Gather and organize information from diverse sources, conduct standard operations and tests, prepare reports, and create visual presentations as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine problems and assist in resolving more complex issues.
  
  

Qualifications for the role

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical or Electrical engineering in the United States.
• Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
